Skype

So. I found this little program awhile back when it was still in early Beta stages and have used it since. It's called Skype from the makers of Kazaa. Now I know a lot of you are thinking Kazaa is bad, it gives me pop ups and viruses. I can assure you this software is clean and is very, very cool.

Skype is a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) program that you and your friend can use to remotely chat. It's completly free and even offers features such as conferencing. All you need is a microphone and a pair of speakers and you should be on your way. Once you download and install Skype for Windows 2000 or XP, Mac OSX, Linux, or even Pocket PC, you can use it to talk to your friends via the internet. It looks kinda like AIM (not really) and works like it too. You and your friend must have it to chat and you and your friend must be signed on to call each other. You can easilly start adding friends and chatting in no time and it sounds really good.

Skype has come a long way and has definitely made some big improvements along the way. It sounds good and works fairly well. Best of all; it's free. So check out the download page below.
